Thank you for your letter of April 4,1979 in which you provided a technical evaluation of portions of the Three Mile Island accident.
] apologize for not providing an answer to you sooner, but the Co:=ission and staff have been occupied with continued support of the efforts at Three Mile Island, Orders to other facilities, appearances before the President's Comission and various coc=ittees of Congress that are investigating the Three Mile Island accident, and the reslignment of our own resources and priorities to give innediate attention to the probIc=s resultingfromtheaccidenQ As you are aware, the issue of the hydrogen bubble in the Three Mile Island reactor was resolved without incident and we have taken steps to cnsure that such an accident does not reoccur. I thank you for your concern in this regard.
