Dear Covernor Maddox:
1 A copy of a notica of hearing which ves published in the yederal Register on July 27, 1967 (32 F.R. 10996) is enclosed for your inforr.stion. This notice acts August 29, 1967, as the date for a public hearing on the Duke Power Company's application to construct three nucicar power reactors at the Company's proposed Oconce Euclear Station located in eastern Oconee County, near Seneca, South Carolina.
The public hearing vill be conducted by an Atomic Safety and Licensing Board designated by the Atomic Energy Coccission. A prehearing conference has been scheduled for August 15, 1967.
Both the prehearing conference and the public hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m., local ti=e, at the Oconee County Court-house, Main Street, Walhalls, South Carolitie.
Copies of this letter sad the enclocod notice of hearing
