Dear Sir:
Your letter of May 5, 1977 requested that a proposed amendment to the Oconee Nuclear Station Technical Specifications be submitted which would establish limits on iodine activity in the reactor coolant and secondary coolant systems. The purpose of this letter is to advise you that an assessment is in progress to establish appropriate limits on iodine activity in the reactor and secondary coolant systems to assure that dose rates from postulated accidents are well within the limits of 10CFR100.
It is expected that these Technical Specifications will be submitted by July 15, 1977.
