Re:
Inspection Report 'il-12 Docket No. 50-220
Dear Mr. Brunner:
Niagara Mohawk's response to Inspection 77-12 was detailed in my letter to you of July 19, 1977.
This letter stated that all detailed design records generated since the issuance of the permanent operating license will be stored in accordance with ANSI N.45.2.9.
Niagara Mohawk planned to complete this effort by the end of 1978.
This letter further explained that an analysis was being made to determine the approach that would be taken to store these records.
Presently, most design records have been brought into compliance with ANSI N.45.2.9.
Specifications and drawings, for example, are stored in at least two different locations.
However, certain design records or data, such as calculations, are not.
These remaining records will be incorporated into the document control system.
Due to the vast number of documents and the purging operations that must take place before the remaining records can be microfilmed, it is anticipated that completion of this task will not be accomplished until the end of 1980.
Sincerely, NIAGARA MOHAWKjPOWER CORPORATION 0Q 7},(,,g
