Dear Mr. Denton:
In response to the " Request for Suspension or Moratorium on the Issuance on the Operating License for Salem Unit #2,"
submitted by Samuel E. Donelson, Mayor of the Township of Lower Alloways Creek, on March 25, 1980, I am hereby trans-mitting to you " Comments of Public Service Electric and Gas Company, et al., on the Request of Lower Alloways Creek Township to the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Pur-suant to 10 C.F.R. 52.206 for a ' Suspension' or ' Moratorium' on the Issuance of an Operating License for Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 2."
For the reasons stated therein, no show cause proceeding or delay in the issuance of an operating license for the captioned facility is warranted.
