Dear Mr. Mattimoe:
In our Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for Rancho Seco dated February 28, 1978, we identified many items for which we needed information on the design of modifications which you had connitted to make to plant equipment prior to implementation of the modifications.
By letter of March 7,1980, you provided a revised cable tray firestop f
design for use inside containment. This revision contained minor changes to the design proposed in a letter of October 17, 1978, and approved by us in a letter to you of December 14, 1978.
We have reviewed these

minor changes and find that these will not affect the performance of---
the firestop in preventing propagation of a fire. Accordingly, we find the design proposed in the March 7,1980 letter to be acceptable.
