SUMMARY

OF MEETING HELD ON MARCH 27, 1980 A meeting was held with the applicant on March 27, 1980 in Bethesda, Maryland to discuss the OL requirements for McGuire. A list of attendees is provided in the Enclosure.

The applicant indicated that initial fuel loading is now scheduled for August 1, 1980.

Commensurate with this date the applicant indicated that the staff review of its application should be completed as soon as possible, in particular the single remaining item before the ASLB, the generic unresolved safety issues (ALAB-444). The staff agreed to make every effort to have this matter complete and issue a supplement to the McGuire SER, thereby completing the ASLB hearing record.

The staff (D. Ross) indicated that it would schedule the completion of the McGuire review with the intent of issuing a full power operating license. This effort would require the complete cooperation of the applicant.

The applicant agreed.

Briefly the applicant and staff discussed among other matters, control room staffing, shift manning, licensee qualifications, low power testing, automatic reactor coolant pump trip, reactor vessel level indication and turbine rotor inspection.
