CEN-128 Response of Combustion Engineering Nuclear Steam Supply System to Transients and Accidents

Dear Sir:

Reference (2) transmitted the subject report on behalf of the C-E Owners Group in response to the requirements listed in References (3), (4), and (5).

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that this report is applicable to the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station and constitutes our response to the short-term analysis and emergency procedure guidelines requirements of section 2.1.9(c) of NUREG-0578.

As stated in Reference (2), it is intended that the information contained in this report be used for the training of reactor plant operators and the revision of our emergency procedures if our review indicates that any procedure revisions would be beneficial.

It is our intention to proceed with the use of this report in order to meet the schedule requirements listed in Reference (4).

If you or your staff should require any additional information concerning the implementation of the information from CEN-128, please feel free to contact us.
