Dear Mr. Parris:
A Vital Area Analysis was conducted at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant during the period of November 26, 1978 through November 30, 1978. Our comments and evaluation of tise analysis results were discussed with your staff during a meeting in Chattanooga on May 23, 1979. A sumary of the Vital Area Analysis is enclosed, including a list of the Type I vital areas at' the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant. As indicated during the meeting with you and during the review process, we conclude that your physical security program may require some realignment as a result of the vital area analysis. ~ Please advise us within 30 days of receipt of this letter of your position on the vital area analysis and what changes you propose to the physical security program. The enclosed vital area analysis sumary contains sensitive material and should
'be protected under 10 CFR 2.790(d).
