ENCLOSURE 1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NEEDED ON PENDING LICENSING ACTIONS FOR INDIAN POINT 3 1.
Fuel Handling Accident Inside Containment On December 7,1979, you were sent a sample of Technical Specifications that should be proposed so that the consequences of this postulated accident are appropriately within the guidelines of 10 CFR Part 100 (less than 100 REM thyroid).
Provide your proposed amendment to the Technical Specifications.
2.
Alaebraic Summation P'pe Stress By letter dated May 31, 1979 you committed to reanalyze 296 lines for seismic piping stresses. Submit your final report on this reanalysis ar.d the field verification of the pipirig.
3.
Overoressure Protection By letter dated August 24, 1979, jou proposed an amendment to the Technical Specifications for the overpressure protection system.
We understand you developed these Technical Specifications and the supporting analyses in conjunction with Consolidated Edison.
There fore, we have dealt primarily with Consolidated Edison in obtaining additional ir. formation.
Specifically, we need your determination of the inaccuries of the instruments used in the PORV setpoint determination and actuation
- ensure that the peak pressure following a postulated overpressure transient does not exceed Appendix G limits.

2ntrol of Heavy Loads Near Soent Fuel During a re-examination of the unresolved safety issues, we determined thet Technical Specification section 3.8, which now applies only to refueling operations, chould be expanded to apply to movement of the vessel head, vessel internals or other heavy loads over the reactor c:re for other than refueling operations.
