CASELOAD FORECAST PANEL UPDATE OF THE LA SALLE STATION UNIT 1 FUEL LOAD DATE As you are aware the Caseload Forecast Panel visited the La Salle site on August 1,1978. Based on that visit and discussions with your staff the panel concluded that your projected fuel date for Unit 1 of March 1979 was optimis-tic.

We stated at that ~.ime that we would be reviewing your construction completion status after the first of the year to update the panel's projected fuel load date.

In order that we may perform this update, please provide the information contained in the Enclosure by early January 1979.

Please contact us if you desire any discussion or clarification of these matters.
