McGuire Nuclear Station Special Nuclear lhtarial License No. 1773 Docket Number 70-2623 Duke Power Company hereby applies for an extension of Special Nuclear Material License No. 1773 to Decenter 31, 1981. Jhis license was originally issued on February 28, 1978, extended on December 17, 1978, and currently expires on December 31, 1979.
The Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards is currently reviewing an amendment to this license concerning the transfer of spent fuel from Oconee Nuclear Station to McGuire Nuclear Station.
Because of this pending amendment, filed March 9, 1978, the expiration date of this license should continue to be dis-associated from the facility operating license.
