Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

RIVER BEND STATION UNIT 1 DOCKET NO. 50-458 Gulf States Utilities verbally notified the Region IV office of a potential 10CFR 50.55(e) deficiency on November 1, 1979, with regard to acceptance testing of concrete materials performed by the testing laboratory.

On December 3, 1979, Gulf States provided your office with a letter indicating that the subject was to be considered a deficiency reportable under 10CFR 50.55(e) and also attached a status report giving a description of the defi-ciency. Attached is the final report on the acceptance of concrete materials. This fulfills the 10CFR 50.55(e) (3) reporting requirements.
