ASME CODE CLASS 3 COMP 0NENTS (Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3)
From our review of Section 3.2.2 of the Waterford Final Safety Analysis Report, we are unable to determine that er. tert to which you meet the positions of Regula-tory Guide 1.26, " Quality Group Classifications and Standards for Water, Steam,
and Radioactive-Waste-Containing Components of Nuclear Power Plants," and the requirements of the Standerd Review Plan.
Specifically, we are concerned with the conformance of Quality Group C (your safety class 3) components to the con-struction requirements of the ASME Code,Section III, Class 3.
For those Quality Group C components that do not meet all the applicable ASME Code requirements, incluaing inspection by an authorized (third party) inspector, provide justifi-cation for not meeting those requirements or else provide details of how you are providing equivalent quality.
