I understand that the NPC has agreed to hear Illinois Power Company's application for the Clinton Illinois Power Plant this June rather than the original Q:tober j
date.
h Your help in securing this earlier date is very much appreciated and, of course, is in the best interests of all parties concerned.
As you know the target date for caimercial operation of the Clinton Plant is Deconber of 1982. Therefore, it is imperative that the Conmission stick to that June hearing date and reach a decision m this matter as soon as possible.
Again, Mr. Director, I appreciate your willingness, and that of the conmission's, to set the earlier hearing date.
