Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

In reference to IE Bulletin 79-25, dated November 2,1979, concerning failures of W63tinghouse BFD relays in safety-related systems, our review is not yet complete.

To date, our Architect-Engineer has determined that no Westinghouse BFD relays are specified in B0P safety-related equipment.

We are now following up on our written requests to all relevant vendors, including the NSSS supplier, to assure that the above relays are not used in safety-related equipment.

We request an extension to June 30, 1980 in order to confirm this and implement corrective action as necessary.

If there are any questions, please advise.

Very truly yours, R.
