This is in response to your letter of July 24, 1979 transmitting the "Tri-State Motor Transit Training and Qualification Plan for Eriver/ Guards (Armed Escor;s)." We have detemined that the plan, subject to the modi-fications indicated in the enclosure, meets the requirements of Appendix B as stipulated by 10 CFR Part 73.50 and will be acceptable upon receipt of appropriately changed pages.
Please make the modifications indicated in the enclosure to this letter and return six copies to this office within 30 days.
We have detemined that the enclosure to your letter of July 24, 1979 contains information of a type specified in 10 CFR Part 2.790(d).

Requalification Expand this section or add an appendix to the plan which indicates the specific subjects that will be given during annual requalification.

B., and IV. C. or as an appendix to the plan a detailed description of the course of fire for record and night firing familiarization for each type of weapon.
Add Paraaraph V.
Eouioment and Equioment Trainina Since Section V. B. of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 73 does not require specific equipment, it will be necessary to identify equipment used by drivers / guards (armed escorts) as well as that which is available to them in the performance of their assigned duties.
Describe the training that drivers / guards (armed escorts) must undergo to ensure their competency in the use of security equipment available to them.
