NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION 3
a E WASHINGTON. D. C. 20555
' o.. "...
fEB 41c80 DOCKET NO. 50-344 Portland General Electric Company Attn: Mr. C. Goodwin, Jr.
Assistant Vice President Thermal Plant Operation and Maintenance 121 S. W. Salmon Street Portland, Oregon 97204 Gentlemen:
We have received a copy of your License Change Application 57 dated December 28, 1979, which you filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review and approval. The application proposed several changes to the Technical Specification:; for the Trojan Nuclear Plant, Facility License No. NPF-1.
It was accompanied by a Class II fee of $1,200 because you determined that the requested changes are pro forma and administrative in nature.
Based on guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your application, it has been determined that the proposed change revising the baron concentration and quantities involves consideration of a single safety issue and requires a Class III fee of $4,000. The balance of your requested changes are considered administrative in nature; therefore, the Class II fee paid by you adequately covers these items.
It is requested that your Company promptly forward an additional $4,000 to this office.
If the final review of your application by the ONRR staff reveals that these fees are incorrect, your Company will be refunded any overpayment or billed for any additional amount due.
Sincerely, x.
