Gentlemen:
Your letter dated September 15, 1977, requested information concerning a postulated boron dilution incident.
We responded by letter dated December 22, 1977, and were requested to provide additional information by your letter dated October 4, 1979.
Due to the Manpower devoted to inplementation of the D11-2 "short-term" Lessons Learned requirements, this response is being sub-mitted late.
Our letter of December 22, 1977, provided an evaluation of the only potential boron dilution accident that we identified in our review of ANO-1.
As was stated in that letter, our operating procedures were changed in order to pre-clude any single failure from causing a boron dilution incident via NaOH addi-tion to the RCS.
We feel that our review of all postulated boron dilution incidents is complete and that adequate measure: have been taken to prevent such an incident. Attached are the piping and instrumentation diagrams showing the location of the affected valves, as requested in your October 4, 1979 letter.
