Dear Sir:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 70, Commonwealth Edison Company hereby applies for a special nuclear material license to be transmitted to:
Commonwealth Edison Company P.O.
Box 767 Chicago, Illinois 60690 Authorization is requested to receive, possess, inspect, store, channel and package for return to vendor incore neutron monitoring detectors in accordance with the amounts for operation of Braidwood Station Units 1 and 2.
Shipment of the neutron detectors is expected to commence on or about November 1, 1980.
In addition, during the second auarter of 1980 Commonwealth Edison intends to amend this application to include the receipt and storage of nuclear fuel assemblies.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 170.31, Commonwealth Edison Company has determined that no fee is required for the quantity of speci,al nuclear materials applied for herein.
