7590-01 gg UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY CC"MISSICN COCKET NO. 50-213 HADDAM NECK PLANT NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccamission (the Commission) has issued Amencment No. 30 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-61, issued to the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (the licensee), which revised the license for operation of the Haddam Neck Plant (the facility),

located in Middlesex County, Connecticut. The amendment bec'ame effective on February 23, 1979.

The amendment adds a license condition to include the Commission-approved physical security plan as part of the license.

The licensee's filing complies with the standards and requirenents of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.

The Commission has made apprceriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regula-tions in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.

Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 The Commission has cetermined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact anc tnat pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(c)(4) an environmental impact statement, negative de c '. ration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amencment.

The licensee's filing dated December 21, 1977, as revised June 21, 1978, August 4,1978, and February 20, 1979, and tne Commission's Security Plan Evaluation Report are being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 62.790(d). The wi.thheld information is suoject to disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 69.12.
