On November 28, 1976, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a one-day seminar on the new Model Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for Nuclear Power Plants. These Technical Specifications are being sent to you separately from NRC Headquarters.
Representatives from the Office of Nuclear Reactor: Regulation will make presentations at the seminar. The agenda will include an intro-duction and background of the effluent technical specifications, the development of Standard Technical Specifications, the method and schedule for i.mplementing the new technical specifications and the major changes of the new technical specifications.
A questior and answer period will follow the prepared presentations.
You are invited to send representatives to this seminar to be held at the lioliday Inn, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
We encourage you to send those members of your staff most closely involved in your radiologi-cal effluent and radiological environmental monitoring programs.
P1 ease complete the preregistration form (page 2 of the Seminar Infor-mation Sheet) and return it to this office no later than November 17, 1976.
It would be extremely beneficial if you would submit (also by November 17) specific pestions concerning the topics you would like to hear discussed so that the speakers will be able to provide answers to those questions tnat apply to the entire audience.
