On November 28, 1978, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a one-day seminar on the new Model Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for Nuclear Power Plants. These Technical Specifications are being sent to you separately from NRC Headquarters.
Representatives from the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation will make presentations at tne seminar. The agenda will include an intro-duction and background of the effluent technical specifications, the developcent of Standard Technical Specifications, the method and schedule for implementing the new technical specifications and the major changes of the new technical specifications.
A question and answer period will follow the prepared presentations.
You are invited to send representatives to this seminar to be held at the Holiday Inn, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
We encourage you to send those members of your staff most closely involved in your radiologi-cal effluent and radiological environmental monitoring programs.
Please complete the preregistration form (page 2 of the Seminar Infor-mation Sheet) and return it to this office no later than November 17, 1978.
It would be extremely beneficial if you would submit (also by November 17) specific questions concerning the topics you would like to hear discussed so that the speakers will be able to provide answers to those questions that apply to the entire audience. We will try to 7811130/6y
