UN'1TED STATES ATO'11C ENEPGY C0" MISSION DOCI:ET NO. 50-29 YM):EE ATOM _IC E._LECTRIC C0'9 ANY N0TICE Or PROPOSED ISSUAN'CE OF FACIIITY LICENSE _A?END'ENT Please take netice that the Atomic Energy Commission proposes to issue to Yanlee t,tomic Electric Company ("the licensee") an amendment to Facility i.icense No. DPR-3 substantially in the form set forth below.
The license authorizes the 3icensee to possess and operate its nuclear power facility located t Rowe, Massachusetts.
Tne amendment would authori:e operation of the facility at a maximum steady state power level of 600 megawatts thermal as requested by the licensee in an application for liceuse amendment dated
.luly 17, 1963.
The previously authorized maximum steady state power level forth in the te,chnical specifications was 540 megawatts thermal.

Tne application for amendment complies with the requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and the Commi s-sion's regulations set forth in Title 10, Chapter 1, CFR:

Operation of the facility in accordance with the license, as amended, will not present undue hazard to the health and safety of the public and will not be inimical to the common defense and security.
With1n thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice in Iederal Ecgister, the applicant may file a request for a hearing, and person whose interest t.ay be affected by the proposed issuance of this 8 0113 4 U /Of

A request for a hearing ind petitions to intervene sha!! be filed in accordance with the provisions of the Commission's regulations (10 CFR Part 2).
If a request for a hearing or a petition for leave to intervene is filed within the time prescribed in this not2ce, a notice of hearing or an appropriate order will be issued.
If no request for a hearing or a petition for leave to intervene is filed within the time prescribed in this notice, the Commission will issue ti.e license amendment thirty (30) days from the date cf publication of this notice in the Federal Register.
For further details with respect to this proposed amendment, see (1) the applicatien for license amendment dated July 17, 1963; (2) the report of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards dated September 12,1963; and (3) a related hazards analysis prepared by the Research and Power Reactor Safety Branch of the Division of Licensing and Regulation.
