20555 RE: Haddam fleck - Fire Protection Review Item 3.1.18
Dear Bob:
Subject design review item is for the Reactor Coolant Pump Oil Collection System. The design review items were submitted by the licensee on April 11, 1979 and found to be unacceptable due to the use of the 55 gallon drums. The licensee resubmitted their proposal on October 9, 1979 without reference to the drums and with the added statement, "The oil collection / storage system will be of sufficient capacity to collect the entire inventory of one complete RCP lube oil failure."
We recommend that this item be accepted.
