APPLICATION OF ASME CODE CASE N-240 IN THE C0flSTRUCTION OF THE CLINTON NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 & 2 By letter dated November 30, 1979, you requested authorization to use the ASME Code Case N-240 in the construction of components for the Clinton Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 & 2.
Moreover, you stated your intent to exempt certain piping, as delineated in your letter, subject to the requirement of the above cited ASME Code from hydrostatic testing. We find that Code Case N-240,
" Hydrostatic Testing of Open Ended Piping,Section III, Division 1," is an acceptable code case and may be used in the construction of components such as those identified in your letter for the Clinton Power Station, Units 1 & 2.
