Also attached is one copy of the License Amendment class determination and a check in the amount of $4400 for the amendment fee.

This submittal proposes changes in the rod misalignment related specifica-tions. Changes are in response to an NRC letter dated October 29, 1979.

Changes have been made in limiting conditions for operation (Section 3.10).

In our previous letter dated December 5,1979, we stated our intention to submit the change by January 15, 1980. Later, due to the press of more urgent matters, e.g. , Lessons Learned, we found we would be unable to meet the original commitment date, notified the NRC Project Manager and agreed on a later submittal date.

Exhibit A describes the proposed changes, reason for change, and safety evaluation. Exhibit B contains the revised Appendix A pages.
