Electric Ccmpany (the licensees) dated May 21, June 13, and

June 20, 1975, conply with the standards and requirements of th Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the

Comission's rules and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; i

5.6 Plant Pancrtire Recuirements 5.6.1
" utine Raterts A report en environmental surveillance programs fer the previous six =onths' operations vill be sut=itted as part of the Sc=iannual Operating Repcrt within 60 days after January 1 and July 1 cf each year. The first such period vill begin with the date of initial criticality. The report vill be a su==ary of results of the enviren= ental activities fer the six month period and an assess =ent of the observed impacts of the plant cperation en the envirc=:ent.
Individual enviren= ental sa=ples which chev significantly higher than
, normal levels which were reported in accofdance with 5.6.2.b vill be noted in the report. Results of all radielegical enviren= ental 9
sa=ples taken shall be su==arized for inclusion in the semiannual report.
In the event that sc=e results are not available within the 60 day period, the repcrt vill be sut=itted noting and explaining the reasons for the =issing data. The =issing data shall be sut=itted as soon as possible in a supple =entary report.
5 The report vill include a se==ary of the quantities of radicactive effluents released frc= the plant as outlined in USAEC Regulatory Guide 1.21 vith data su==arized on a =onthly basis following the -

S. fluclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has issued Amendment flo. 9 to Facility Operating License flo. DPR-50 issued to Metropolitan Edison Ccmpany, Jersey Central Power and Light Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Three Mile Island fluclear Station, Unit 1, located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment relates to the environmental monitoring program and its reporting requirements and to administrative details which better l
state the intended meaning of the specifications and eliminate unwarranted cos ts.
The applications for the amendment comply with the standards and requirements of the Atcmic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act),
and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Ccmmission has.made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license 1
amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment is not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
