Results of surveillance tests on forms appended to this report.
Quarterly checkouts were noc performed during 1978 because the reactor was placed on standby and non-operable with the departure of our only licensed Reactor Supervisor.*
- 5) No changes or authorizations required.
- 6) The only change in facility operating staff was the resignation of Pro-fessor R. N. Christensen from the University, leaving his position as Reactor Supervisor and member of the Reactor Safety Committee vacant.
No replacement has been made to date.

- 0n May 30, 1978 all four control rods with fuel thimbles and source were removed from the reactor and stored in locked safes under the supervision of R. N. Christensen (R.S.), R. W. Adamson (R. A. ) and A. Z. Rosen (Radiation Safety Officer). The Nuclear Reactor Facility remained on standby for the rest of the calendar year.
