Dear Mr. Dircks:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 70.33 and your notice dated January 3, 1979, the Virginia Electric and Power Company hereby requ?sts renewal of Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-1801, as amended for the North Anna Power Station, Unit 2.

License No. SNM-!!31 is currently scheduled to expire on March 31,1979; it is requested that the expiration date be extended to December 1,1979 or to conversion of Construction Permit CPPR-78 to an opera-ting license, whichever is earlier. CPPR-78 was extended to December I,1979 by an order dated December 29, 1978 The information supplied with our original application dated October 3,1977, supplemented by our letter of June 6,1978, continues to be applicable to the Special Nuclear Material License for North Anna, Unit 2.
