APPLICATION AMENDMENT S-4, RECEIPT OF ARCHIVE SAMPLES With respect to activities authorized by SNM-1097 at the GE fuel fabrication plant in Wilmington, fl.
C., General Electric Ccapany hereby requests authorization to receive on a one-time basis, special nuclear material (SNft) contained in GE archive samples without completely verifying SNM content by measurements.
Details describing the need and the justification for the requested authorization are contained in the attachment to this letter.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d), General Electric requests that this information be withheld from public disclosure as this material identifies General Electric procedures for safeguarding licensed special nuclear material.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 170.31, enclosed is a General Electric check for $150 for processing this amendment request.
General Electric personnel would be pleased to discuss this matter further with you and your staff as you may deem necessary.
