This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. I. T. Yin of
this office on February 6-8, 1979, of activities at the Midland
Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Cot.aruction
Permits No. CPPR-81 and No. CPPR-82 and to the discussion of
our findings with Mr. D. R. Keating and others of your staff at
the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas
examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures
and representative records, observations, and interviews with
personnel.
No items of noncompliance with'NRC requirements were identified

In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,"
