Dear Mr. Denton:

In accordance with NUREG-0094, XIX, Multi-Unit Facilities, submitted herein for NRC 'pproval is the North Anna Unit 2 License Training Program.

The program is designed to upgrade personnel currently licensed on North Anna Unit No. I to an equivalent knowledge level on Unit No. 2, for the purpose of obtaining licenses on Unit No. 2.

The program will consist of a lecture series comparing the current differences between the two (2) units. The lectures are presently planned to involve about eight (8) hours, this dependent upon the final approved form of Technical Specifications.

The following differences have been observed and will be covered in the lectures:

a. Steam Generator Recirculation System - Unit 2 has a three (3) pump system as opposed to a one (1) pump system on Unit 1.
b. Electrical Distribution System - Minor differences involving bus layout, pover supplies and degraded voltage protection.
c. NDT Pressure Protection System - Different signals and control features on pressurizer power operated relief valves.
1. Operating Curve and Minimum Pressure / Temperature Restrictions -

Differences between the curves and why,

e. Part Length Rods - No part length rods installed,
f. Fire Protection in Unit No. 2 Contair: ment - Fire main and hose stations not included in Unit No. 1.

g. Containment Instrunent Air System - Compressors are external to containment.
h. Recirculation Spray / Low Head Safety Injection Cross-Tie - Does not exist on Unit 2.
i. Technical Specifications - IIinor differences at the present time.

At the present time, our Unit No. 2 Technical Specifications are being revised for approval. The most current revision available will be used for the lecture. Should further ninor changes be made to the final copy a summary of changer will be reviewed by all license applicat t9 An examination will be administered following the program to insure sufficient knowledge is retained by the applicants to varrant application for a Unit No. 2 license.
