Thank you for your final report dated January 19, 1979, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) regarding tolerance of alignment pins welded into the reactor pressure vessel core support plate.
With respect to your straightening of the bent pins, we have no further questions regarding acceptability. This position was established in our report No. 50-358/79-01. That same report, however, identified three pins that were repaired prior to taking measurements. No justification was presented in your report that would alter our stated position that these should be replaced. This matter will be reviewed during future inspections.
