Dear Ms. Phillips:
This is in response to your letter dated January 31, 1979, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, the names and addresses of all intervenors in the proceedings to issue permits to the Public Service Company of t'ew Hampshire to c.onstruct a nuclear power plant at Seabrook, New Hampshire.
You also asked for information on the current status of the EPA's approval of the cooling system to be utilized at Seabrook.
Your request was received by the Office of Administration on February is, 1979.
In response to your request, enclosed is a copy of the list of addressees for the service of documents on parties to the public proceedings before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (ASLB) in the matter of the proposed licensing of the Seabrook facilities (Docket Nos. 50-443 and 50-444).
Please note that each of these addressees is recognized as a party to these proceedings but may not necessarily be an intervenor as you described.

The identities of actual intervenors in these proceedings can only be obtained from a reading of the prehearing conference orders of the ASLB and in transcripts of the individual hearing sessions which are on file at the NRC Public Document Room located at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC and in the NRC's Local Public Document Room located at the Exeter Public Library, Front Street, Exeter, New Hampshire.
With respect to your inquiry on the current status of the EPA's approval of the cooling system, we have not located any documents subject to your request; however, we have been informed that this matter is now before the 1st Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals 79030909%
