Dear Mr. Groce:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 58 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-3 for the Yankee Nuclear Power Station (Yan kee-Rowe). The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated November 24, 1978 (Iroposed Change No.139, Supplement No. 3),
e The amendment revises the Technical Specifications to correct typographical and editorial errors; to improve clarity and consis-tency of several Technical Specification requirements; and to conform with the provisions of the Westinghou a Plant Standard Technical Specifications for improved radiation monitors installed by the licensee.
The amendment also renumbers the license condition for Fire Protection, which was issued by Amendment No. 56, dated March 15, 1979.
As indicated in our Safety Evaluation supporting this amendment and pursuant to. discussions with your staff, you have agreed to several changes proposed by us and you have withdrawn several changes proposed by your November 24, 1978 application.
Copies,of our Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
