FitzPatrick Emergency amendment public conference call discussion topics Some discussion topics for public conference call:

  • EICB will need to know the date of the last successful completion of Tech Spec Required Surveillance SR 3.3.5.1.3 (for ISP-6A) (Channel Calibration), and the next due date for the surveillance, and the end date of the 25% grace period. [Tech Spec Table 3.3.5.1-1, Functions 4.3 and 5.e]
  • EICB will also need to know the date of the last successful completion of Tech Spec Surveillance Requirement 3.3.5.1.6, Functions 3.f and 3.g [Perform Logic System Functional Test], the next due date for the surveillance, and the end date of the 24% grace period.
  • What does it mean, exactly:

o The A and B Emergency Diesel Generators and their associated cooling water pumps and power supplies will be protected.

o The 4160V emergency buses will be protected.

o HPCI and RCIC will be protected.

o Both trains of RHR and CSP will be protected.

1. For the SRs to verify that valves are in the correct position, explain why they cannot be performed.
2. TS page 3.5.1-5 is blank. Is something missing? (Maybe SRs 3.5.1.7 and 3.5.1.8)
3. SR 3.5.1.9 - Discuss whether or not the pump has degraded in past tests.
4. SR 3.6.1.3.5 - Discuss whether or not there have been past failures for this SR.
5. SR 3.6.1.9.2 - Discuss if there has been any pump degradation seen in past inservice tests.

9. SRs 3.8.1.4, 3.8.3.1, 3.8.3.2, 3.8.3.4 - Explain why these SRs have to be delayed.

Compensatory measures should be in a separate attachment for ease of reference.

Thanks, Sam
