Enclosed is a ecpy of a rough draft of the health costs of low-Icvel ionizing radiation testi:rny originally prepared in Nove=ber 1973 for the public hearing for Three Mile Island nuclear generating station.

With appropriate person-rem adjustment, this material is being used in staff testincnv in the public hearing for Catawba. The annual monetized value of the health costs to the general public turns out to be quite small-of the order of $10,000 to $20,000 per. year.
