Gentlemen:
This refers to your application dated December 5,1978 requestino approval of Northeast Nuclear Energy Company's (NNEC) Quality Assurance (QA) program to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 571.51.
As noted in your application. NNEC has elected to " apply its quality assurance program as required by 10 CFR 50 Appendix B...."
It is requested that NNEC reference the QA topical report NU-QA-1, Revision 3, which describes the existing operational QA program and which applies to all NNEC's operating nuclear plants.
Please submit seven copies of your response to this request within 30 days following receipt of this letter.
