Thank you for your letter of December 7,1978, in response to our letter dated November 6, 1978. As a result of our review, we find that additional information, as discussed with your Ms. D. C. Almeda during a telephone call on January 3,1979, is needed.
Specifically, your response to item C. does not address whether or not the personnel performing visual examination have been certified to the requirements of the new procedure.
For item D., you did not address what actions were taken relative to those penetrant materials which were found to be questionable, regard-ing the residue of unknown substane:e.
For item G.1 and G.2 your response does not provide corrective actions
. elative to the specific deficiencies noted, and for item G.1, you did not provide steps to preclude recurrence of similar deviations in the future.
For item H., your response doe., not provide corrective actions for the specific deficiency observed by the inspector.
The unresolved item, DetailsSection II, B3.b., will be further eval-uated during a future inspection.
No additional response is required at this time.
Our review of your response to iten A.l., in which you state that yaur further investigation has clarified the addition of an operation to the Manufacturing Process Sheet due to an Engineering Instruction being issued as a result of the Devia;; ion Notice, is such that we no longer consider this item to be a deviation from commitment.
