Dear Mr. Denton:

Our letter of May 1,1978 contained a minor typographical error in the attached " Summary of Proposed Modifications to the Spent Fuel Storage Pool Associated with increasing Storage Japacity." This error has been dis-cussed with members of the NRC Staff by phone and does not alter any conclu-sions in the Safety Evaluation Report. Substitution of the attached page will correct the error. The change is indicated by a vertical line in the margin.

Very truly yours,

1. Total for both units
2. Maximum abnormal oberating duty for the component cooling water system and the service water system occurs during simultaneous fast cooldown of both reactor units. This does not occur concurrent with the maximum abnormal fuel pool beat load which is the off loading of one full core starting 150 nr after shutdown.
