DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY - DECOMMISSIONING FINANCIAL ASSURANCE INSTRUMENT SECURITY PROGRAM The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) technical and financial regulations for decommissioning licensed facilities ensure that the decommissioning of all licensed facilities will be accomplished in a safe and timely manner and that licensees will provide adequate funds to cover all costs associated with decommissioning. Pursuant to the authority given to me by the Executive Director of Operations (Agency Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML14261A010), I hereby re-delegate the authority given to me to the Director, Division of Rulemaking, Environmental, and Financial Support, with the following exception:
The Office Director is authorized to sign for drawing on instruments. This signature authority may not be delegated below the Deputy Office Director level.
Designation of Decommissioning Financial Assurance Custodians The following individuals are designated as the decommissioning financial assurance instrument custodian (FAIC), alternate financial assurance instrument custodian (AFAIC), and FAIC Managers, who will organize, evaluate, and secure the storage of the financial assurance instruments:
