NRC REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Your letter of November 9, 1979 requested information on the models used for cladding strain and assembly blockage in the Emergency Core Cooling System calculations for Nine Mile Point Unit 1.
Niagara Mohawk has determined that the models used for cladding strain and assembly blockage in the Emergency Core Cooling System calculations for Nine Mile Point Unit 1 are as conservative as NRC's new models as outlined in your letter of November 9, 1979. Based on this determination Niagara Mohawk has concluded that no further calculations are necessary.
