- 14. This licenso shall expire november 30, 197 2, or upon conversion of Cons truc tion cermit lio. CPPR-40 to an operating licence, uhichever is earlier.
15.A.(1) Each scaled source containing byproduct waterial, other than 1:ydrogen 3, with a half-life greater than thirty days and in any form other than gas shall be tested for lochage and/or contamination at intervals not to encced sin months.
In the absence of a certificate from a trans foror indicating that a tes t has been made within sin uonths prior to the transfcr, the sealed source shall not be pu t into use until tes ted.
(2) Notwiths tanding the periodic loah tes t required by this condition, any licensed scaled source is enempt from such leak tes ts when the source contains 100 microcuries or less of bota and/or gamma emitting unterial or 10 microcuries or less of alpha emitting material.
(3) The periodi.c leak test required by this condition does not apply to scaled sources that are s tored and not being used.
The sources oncepted from this tes t shall be tes ted for lochago prior to any use or trans fer to another person unicss they have been leah tcs ted uithin sin wenths prior to the date of use or transfer.
B. Tlic tes t shall be capable of detecting the presence of 0.005 mierecurie of radi.oactive materini on F^n enst se,ple-Thn tes t campic shall be tahon from the sealed source or from the surfaces of the device in uhich the sealed source la perma-nontly mounted or stored on which one might onpoct contamina-tion to accumulate.
Records of leak tes t results shall be he?t in units of microcuries and maintained for inspection by the Commission.
C. If tlic test reveals the presence of 0.00.5 microcurie or more of removable contamination, the licensec shall immediately withdrau the scaled source from use and shall cause it to be decontamina-ted and repaired or to be disposed of in accordance with Com:aission regulations.
A report shall be filed u_ thin 5 days of the test uith the Director, Division of IInterials U.consin.7,,
