S. Atomic Energy Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 2 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-30 issued to Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power and Light Company and Pennsylvania Electric Company, which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1, located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The amendment is ef fective as of its date of issuance.
The a=endment permits plant warmup and low power (<5%) testing with one emergency feedwater pump disabled. This amendment relates to radio-logical safety matters previously considered but does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations and the Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license amendment.
