AMENDMENT NUMBER 3 TO CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE NUMBER 1008 FOR THE HI-STAR 100 STORAGE SYSTEM
Dear Mr. Ngwayah:
As requested by your application dated September 25, 2015 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML15280A178), as supplemented by letters dated January 15, and April 29, 2016, December 15, 2017, July 2, 2018, and February 6, 2019 (ADAMS Accession Nos. ML16041A041, ML16133A518, ML17360A162, ML18183A447, and ML19037A152 respectively), enclosed is Amendment No. 3 to the Certificate of Compliance No. 1008 for the HI-STAR 100 storage system. This amended certificate, issued by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) constitutes the approval and conditions for use of the HI-STAR 100 storage system for storage of spent nuclear fuel under the general license provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 72, Subparts K and L.
As stated in the Federal Register (84 FR 43669, August 22, 2019), the effective date of this certificate is November 5, 2019. The NRC safety evaluation report for this amended certificate (including the Technical Specifications) is enclosed.
