l PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION June 22, 1979 PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF SAFEGUARDS EVENT -- PNS-79-63 This preliminary notification constitutes EAktY notice of an event of POSSIBLE national security or public interee,t significance.
The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

Florida Power and Light Company Turkey Point 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Homestead, Florida
SUBJECT:
B0MB THREATS Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on June 22, 19?s, the Bechtel Corporetion telephone switchboard operator at the site received five telephone calls from an unidentified white female caller who appeared to be in a highly emotional state.
Each call relayed essentially the same information, in that, the caller was dying of cancer caused by the Turkey Point Plants, that all she cared about were her children and that she had paid three men to " blow that place sky high".
The licensee has increased its guard force vigilance and search procedures at the construction site. Unit 3 is shut down and Unit 4 is operating at 50 percent power.
Media interest is not anticipated. A news release is not planned by the licensee or NRC. The State of Florida has been notified.
The local law enforcement agency was notified by the licensee.
IAT has been notified.
Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the licensee at 1:20 p.m. on June 22, 1979.
