Gentlemen:

The subject Decommission Plan for the C-E Hematite facilities as required under Reference 1 is attached.

Figure 1-3 of Reference 2 identifies the buildings on the C-E Hematite site. Most will require decontamination before being released for unrestricted use, especially the Oxide Building and Buildings 240 and 255.

Oxide Building Four-level building housing UF6 to U02 conversion line and powder milling, blending and packaging operations.

Building 240 Single-level building housing scrap recycle, wet scrap recovery, office area, locker rocms, laboratory and maintenance shop.

Biiildino 255 Single-level building that contains equipment for processing unclad uranium into finished fuel pellets.

$350,000 including the planned plant expansion. Also included is an estimate for the total number of cubic feet of low level radioactive waste material, equipment, etc., generated as a result of the decomissioning process, that is to be shipped to a licensed, commercial site for burial.

The financial arrangements to assure that adequate funds are available to cover the costs at the time of decomissioning described in Reference (1) above are currently under review. Considerations regarding this will be submitted to you under separate cover.
