M4==iek of Ytukee Atortic Electric Company transmitted proprietary and non-proprietary versions of the report entitled " Additional Information on the Possible Effects of Fuel Densification on Subsequent Operation of Yankaa Eowe Cycle I, October 15, 1973".

requested that the proprietary version of this report be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to Section 2.790(b) of 10 CFR Pr.rt 2.
We were advised by Mr. Minnick's transmittal that the report containn material that is proprietary to the Vestinghouse Elmetric Corporation;'
i that it* raleasa would enable a reinad fuel supplier in cosapecition with Westinghouse to assess current Westinghouse design and unmif acturing methods, and calculational results. This report contains information
- on predicted fuel temperatures using Westinghouse calculational models whose disclosure would result in competitive and economic disadvantage to Westinghouse. Based on our examination of the non-proprietary version of this report, we have concluded that sufficient information is contained therein to advise an interested member of the public of the safety consideration applienble thereto.
In viev Of the foregoing, disclosure of the above me.otioned proprietary report (Additional Information) is not rquirad in the pubite interest nor by 10 CFR Part 9, and it should therefore be withheld from public inspection pursuant to Section 2.790(b) of 10 CFR Part 2.
A letter is concurrently being sent to Yankee Atomic Electric Company granting the vithholding request.
