- 973, transmitted the proprietary version of a report antitled "Rasponse co Raquest for Additional Information Dated June 1, 1973" sad requested that this report be withheld in its antirety from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR Part 2, Section 2.790(b).
In our latter dated July 11, 1973, we informed you that we could act act on your request for withholding the propriatary report until we had received from you the non-proprietary version of the report.
T=nkam's subsequent letter dated August 22, 1973, transmitted the non-proprietary version of the report.
The reason for withholding was stated to be that it contains certain infor-
. mation that would enable a reload fuel supplier in competition with Gulf United Nuclear Puals Corporation to assess current Gulf United design and manufacturing methods and calculational results and to = = 4a= test results performed by Gulf United at their own expense. Disclosure of this infor-mation would result in competitive and economic disadvantage to Gulf United.
The regulatory staff has - - ined the proprietary version of the report and pursuant to Section 2.790(b) of 10 CFR Part 2 concurs in this assessment.
Accordingly, we have approved your request and pursuant to Section 2.790(b) in 10 CFR Part 2 are withholding this proprietary report from public inspec-tion. Withholding from public inspection shall not affect the right, if any, of persons properly and directly concarned to inspect the document.
